Practice Areas: Worker’s Compensation

Carla gained her knowledge of the workers’ compensation system through working for the Industrial Commission of Ohio in Administration and as a District Hearing Officer. This experience gives her a unique and diverse perspective. Representing first responders across the state, her practice also includes Police and Fire Disability representation. She has a relationship with many BWC certified physicians which helps in obtaining the necessary treatment for her clients.

Carla was admitted to practice in 2003 after graduating from Capital University Law School. Prior to that, she graduated from The Ohio State University. Carla worked as a Hearing Officer for the Industrial Commission and the Unemployment Compensation Review Committee. She was successful in solo private practice until 2023 when she joined Willis Spangler Starling.

Carla is a mom to a teenage son. In her free time, she enjoys serving at church, yoga and napping.
